Award-winning writer and editor Tracey Slaughter joins emerging and established local voices, to bring colourful creative work from literary journals Mayhem and Poetry Aotearoa Alive, with dramatic staging by One Question Theatre.

Tracey Slaughter
Tracey Slaughter's latest works are the poetry collection The Girls in the Red House are Singing (2024) and the short fiction collection Devil's Trumpet (2021), both from Te Herenga Waka University Press. Her work has won numerous international awards including the 2024 Moth Short Story Prize, the 2024 ABR Calibre Essay Prize, and the Manchester Poetry Prize 2023. She lives in Kirikiriroa and teaches Creative Writing at the University of Waikato and is the editor of literary journal Mayhem and Poetry Aotearoa.
