This Matariki public holiday, gather in our whare for a free public talk from maramataka expert Piripi Lambert. Proudly part of Matariki ki Waikato Festival.

Did you know the stars have always guided the lives of insects and animals?

Maramataka is a living knowledge system, developed over generations of careful observation of the stars, moon, seasons, and the behaviour of plants and animals. Matua Piripi will share how those same patterns resonate through the creatures seen in the Microsculpture exhibition, which reveals the hidden world of insects in breathtaking detail.
