Haka Maaori Cultural Experience

He Piko He Taniwha extends the Festival footprint onto the Waikato River. This immersive story-telling experience shares cultural narratives, waiata and ceremonial practices relating to the Waikato River and the Hamilton Gardens.

Each tour will include a range of interactive cultural activities, including a visit to Te Parapara Maaori Garden and a hands-on waka (canoe) paddling experience on the Waikato River to view the international award-winning Te Ara Pekapeka bridge installation.
