Fortune spins her wheel – who will win, and who will lose?
Hamilton City Brass and the Festival Chorus return to perform one of the most notable choral pieces of the 20th Century on opening night of the festival.
This massive concert is inspired by an anthology of mediaeval poetry celebrating the joys of life, German composer Carl Orff set 24 poems to music.
The result is a work in three sections: Springtime, In the Tavern, and The Court of Love. Bookending the concert is one of the most epic and universally recognisable chorus features in the literature: O Fortuna.
Bring you own blanket or low festival seating. As this is licensed event, no alcohol can be brought onsite.
