The Big Muffin Serious Band have been creating their finely-crafted ukulele-based musical mayhem for over 36 years.

They have played all over NZ at music and arts festivals, music clubs, universities, polytechs and secondary schools.

They busked in Britain, and were guests at the Melbourne Uke Fest. They’ve revolutionized music-tuition with their wearable “Dancing Chords” system, have appeared on TV several times, toured an original shadow-puppetry show, have won busking competitions, and were voted Worst-dressed NZ Band 3 years in a row… and all this was achieved with nothing more than a load of old junk, 3-part harmonies and some humble ukuleles.

Now they are ready to take on the newly-opened Surrealist Garden!
